Job summary

Employment in Doha seeks a Senior Full Stack Developer (Contractor) to design and build efficient software solutions that integrate with the company IT architecture to enable growth and risk control through automation.

You will work with traders, risk & finance stakeholders, system architects and analysts to develop scalable systems and tools, ensuring continuity of trading solutions and applying security across the SDLC.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of experience designing, developing and implementing multitier software solutions using C#, Angular JS, .Net in trading/financial environments.
• Minimum 3 years of experience on Azure with services like AD, Functions, Service Bus, App Services, Storage, SQL, Cosmos DB.
• Backend API development with C#, RESTful and GraphQL.
• Frontend SPA development with Angular.
• CI/CD tooling with Azure DevOps and GitHub; IaC with Bicep or Terraform.
• Cloud solutions with Azure DevOps; Databricks and Data Factory experience preferred.
• SQL heavy data architecture and microservices basics; microfrontend preferred.
• STP, FIX protocol familiarity; CTRM/ETRM exposure desirable.
• SDLC, Agile requirements, prototyping; Python a plus.

Senior Full Stack Developer (Contractor)

Primary Purpose Of The Job

Design and build efficient and innovative software solutions and interfaces that integrate with the company's existing IT architecture to enable business growth and risk control through automation.

Key Responsibilities

Work with traders, risk & finance managers, system architects, business analysts, project managers and other ICT departments to develop efficient and scalable systems, applications, interfaces and tools from scratch, and enable company business growth through a high level of automation and process optimisation. Build and maintain software solutions that fully integrate with the existing third party and in-house platforms in accordance with the company's overall IT architecture design. Provide timely technical support to in-house trading solutions to ensure business continuity. Work with internal IT developers and solution architects to gather technical requirements; design solutions; and build automated tests following the defined coding standards and best practices to ensure the delivery of IT solutions meets the business requirements, are scalable and supportable. Stay updated with the latest technology and tools, find innovative solutions, conduct POCs, and document and share knowledge & practices to help the company gain a sustainable and competitive advantage in the market. Apply security measures by following security procedures and standards to ensure a secure environment; manage and address trading systems vulnerabilities and threats; and adhere to established standards, processes, procedures, and policies throughout the software development life cycle.

Education

Experience & Skills

Software Development Experience

Minimum 8 years of experience designing, developing and implementing multitier software solutions using C#, Angular JS, . Net within a commodity trading, banking or hedge fund environment. Minimum 3 years of experience developing, deploying, and maintaining systems on Azure, with expertise in Azure services (Azure Active Directory, Azure Functions, Azure Service Bus, Azure App Services, Azure Storage, Azure SQL, Azure Cosmos DB, etc.) and the implementation practices.

Backend Development

Experience in backend API development using C#. In-depth knowledge of RESTful and Graph QL web services.

Frontend Development

Experience on frontend SPA development using Angular.

Dev Ops & Cloud Technologies

Hands on experience with CI/CD tooling, including platforms such as Azure Dev Ops and Git Hub. Experience using infrastructure-as-code tools such as Bicep or Terraform. Knowledge and experience in the implementation and maintenance of cloud solutions using Azure Dev Ops and other cloud technologies (e.g. Microsoft Azure Data Factory, Data Bricks) and building reporting capabilities is preferred.

Database & Architecture

Extensive experience in writing efficient SQL and relevant experience with database design. Understanding of microservices architecture. Understanding of microfrontend is preferred.

Trading & Industry Knowledge

Good understanding of straight-through-processing (STP) requirements and FIX protocol is preferred. Experience working with any CTRM/ETRM system is preferred.

Additional Technical Skills

Ability to perform full SDLC activities using Agile methods, including requirement definition, prototyping, proof of concept, design, implementation, testing and maintenance. Proficiency in Python is a plus.

Personal & Communication Skills

Excellent written and verbal communications skills. Self-reliance and self-sufficiency; willingness to help build a business from the ground upwards in a phased manner but with quick short-term solutions essential for success. Strong delivery focus is critical.
