Job summary

A Qatar-based consulting firm is seeking a Senior Financial Planning & Analysis Consultant to deliver strategic financial insights and support budgetary frameworks. The ideal candidate will have over 17 years of experience in financial planning and a strong focus on public sector finance, alongside expertise in ERP systems. Proficiency in both Arabic and English is required. This role is pivotal in aligning financial decisions with national development goals.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 17 years of experience in financial planning and analysis.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a governmental role within Qatar.
  • Deep understanding of Qatar’s public finance regulations and budgetary processes.

The Senior Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Consultant plays a critical role in supporting the ministry by delivering strategic financial insights, forecasting, and planning. The consultant ensures that financial decisions are aligned with national development goals and government budgetary frameworks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain financial models tailored to ministry programs and initiatives.
  • Analyze government financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for fiscal optimization.
  • Provide strategic recommendations to enhance budget efficiency within the ministry.
  • Support the preparation of multi-year ministry budgets and financial plans.
  • Present financial reports and policy impact analyses to senior ministry officials.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business Administration (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Minimum of 17 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, with a strong focus on public sector finance including at least 3 years of experience in a governmental role within the State of Qatar.
  • Proven expertise in developing financial strategies for government entities.
  • Deep understanding of Qatar’s public finance regulations, budgetary processes.
  • Proven experience with ERP systems such as Oracle and Microsoft Dynamics 365.
  • Bilingual proficiency (Arabic and English) is a must.
