Job Summary

The Senior Finance Controller is responsible to provide financial leadership and oversight to a group of companies or entities within a specific geographical cluster. They are responsible for managing the financial operations, reporting, and compliance for all entities within the cluster. Additionally, the Senior Finance Controller plays a key role in financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives and strategic goals. They oversee financial analysis, performance monitoring, and variance analysis to provide insights and recommendations to senior management. Moreover, they are responsible for ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, accounting standards, and internal controls across the cluster.

Job Responsibilities

Oversee the financial operations of multiple entities within a geographical cluster, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Manage financial reporting processes, including the preparation of financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis to provide timely and insightful information to senior management and stakeholders.

Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and controls to ensure consistency, efficiency, and adherence to accounting standards across the cluster.

Collaborate with finance teams across entities to streamline processes, leverage synergies, and optimize resource allocation to achieve cluster-wide financial objectives.

Provide financial guidance and support to entity finance teams, including training, mentoring, and performance evaluation, to enhance their capabilities and effectiveness.

Monitor and analyze financial performance, key performance indicators (KPIs), and industry trends to identify areas for improvement and drive strategic decision-making.

Managing relationships with external auditors, tax authorities, and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with audit requirements, tax laws, and regulatory standards.

Assess and mitigate financial risks, including currency risk, interest rate risk, and credit risk, through hedging strategies, financial derivatives, and risk management techniques.

Lead and coordinate the annual budgeting and planning process for the cluster, collaborating with entity leaders to set financial targets and allocate resources effectively.

Represent the cluster in financial discussions, meetings, and presentations with senior management, board members, investors, and other stakeholders to communicate financial performance, objectives, and strategies effectively.

Job Knowledge & Skills

Comprehensive knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and regulatory requirements to ensure accurate and compliant financial operations across multiple entities.

Strong analytical skills are essential for interpreting financial data, conducting variance analysis, and identifying trends or anomalies within the cluster's financial performance.

Proficiency in financial management software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is necessary for effectively managing financial processes, generating reports, and maintaining financial records.

Excellent leadership and communication skills are vital for coordinating financial activities across entities, providing guidance to finance teams, and effectively communicating financial information to senior management and stakeholders.

Experience in financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting enables the Cluster Financial Controller to develop strategic financial plans, set financial targets, and allocate resources efficiently to support the cluster's growth and success.

ERP knowledge preferably SAP functional skills are a requirement to be successful in this role.

Job Experience

Minimum 8 years working experience, 5 years in a relevant supervisory position, 2 years GCC experience is a plus
