Job summary

KBC Technologies in Qatar is seeking an experienced FastAPI Developer with 5+ years of backend engineering to design scalable RESTful APIs, build high-performance microservices, and maintain production-grade applications on-site.

You will own backend architecture, work with Python, FastAPI, SQL/NoSQL databases, and Docker-based CI/CD pipelines, driving reliable deployments and continuous improvement across critical systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related technical discipline.
• Minimum of 5+ years of software development and backend engineering experience.
• Strong hands-on Python programming and the FastAPI framework.
• Knowledge of backend development best practices and RESTful API design.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Experience integrating third-party APIs and microservices.
• Proficiency with Docker and CI/CD pipelines.
• Excellent written and verbal English communications.
• Legal work eligibility in Qatar with on-site availability.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy backend applications using Python and FastAPI.
• Architect RESTful APIs, microservices, and third-party integrations.
• Develop and optimize SQL and NoSQL data models and queries.
• Troubleshoot production issues and performance bottlenecks.
• Implement unit and integration testing and CI/CD pipelines.
• Manage version control and collaboration workflows with Git.
• Containerize apps with Docker and automate deployments.
• Document APIs, system architecture, and runbooks.
