Job summary

A leading energy company in Qatar seeks an experienced professional to develop and maintain refinery Material Balance databases. The role requires at least 8 years in refinery production planning, strong analytical skills, and a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or Science. Effective communication in English is essential for handling critical data for invoicing and supplier payments.

Qualifications

  • Develop, implement and maintain a database of the refinery wide Material Balance.
  • Accurately represent and account for movements of feedstock and refined product.
  • Ensure data forms the basis of invoices to customers and payments to suppliers.

Job description
Primary Purpose of the Job

To develop, implement and maintain a database of the refinery wide Material Balance by collecting, analysing, validating, investigating, reconciling and reporting ALL flows of feedstock and refined product into, within and out of the Refinery such as Crude Oil, Condensate, Gas, LPG, Gasoline, Diesel, Jet A-1, Naphtha, Fuel Oil, Intermediate Stocks, Sulphur etc.

Movement of feedstock and refined product into and out of the refinery from external companies need to be accurately represented and accounted for since it forms the basis of invoices issued to customers and payments to suppliers and have major financial, reputational and legal implications.

Required Experience and Skills
  • At least 8 years in Refinery Production Planning and Scheduling.
  • Understanding of IT technical standards and development methodologies.
  • Analytical skills in Refinery production scheduling & refinery economics.
  • Proficient with Planning & Scheduling and Production Accounting software tools.
  • Good spoken and written English – communicates effectively
Educational Qualifications

Bachelor Degree in Chemical Engineering or Science.
