Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Senior Engineer - Electrical - Design to join our dynamic team in Doha, Qatar. As a key member of our engineering department, you will lead the design and development of electrical systems for various projects, ensuring high-quality, cost-effective solutions that meet our clients' needs.

Responsibilities

• Develop and oversee electrical design projects, including power distribution, lighting, and control systems
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate electrical systems with other engineering disciplines
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians
• Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments for new electrical design projects
• Ensure compliance with local and international electrical codes, standards, and regulations
• Prepare detailed technical specifications, calculations, and drawings
• Perform quality control reviews of design calculations and drawings
• Develop innovative solutions to complex electrical engineering challenges
• Represent the company in technical forums and industry conferences related to electrical engineering
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry best practices in electrical design

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university
• 10 years of experience in electrical design, preferably in ME/UK projects across various sectors
• Proven expertise in electrical system design, including power distribution, lighting, and control systems
• Proficiency in industry-standard software applications such as Amtech, Electrical OM, Dialux, AGi32, Revit, Navis, and AutoCAD
• In-depth knowledge of BS and American standards, as well as Qatar's electrical regulations
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills to address complex engineering challenges
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities to effectively manage teams and interact with clients
• Experience in preparing technical specifications, calculations, and drawings
• Ability to conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments for electrical design projects
• Willingness to stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends in electrical engineering
• Familiarity with sustainable design practices and energy-efficient solutions
