Job summary

Mekdam Technical Services in Doha seeks an experienced Electrical Engineer to provide design review, supervise installation, and coordinate multidisciplinary interfaces on interior fit-out projects. The role requires 10+ years in electrical engineering or project management; expertise in ELV, ICT coordination, testing, commissioning and strict adherence to QCS/QCD and local standards is essential.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
Professional registration is preferred.
Certification in Testing & Commissioning or Low Voltage Systems is an advantage.
Minimum 10 years of professional experience in electrical engineering, construction supervision or project management.
Experience in high-end commercial office fit-out projects.
Strong experience in electrical distribution systems, lighting, emergency power, ELV and ICT coordination.
Experience in testing and commissioning of electrical and low-current systems.
Experience in Qatar and familiarity with QCS, Kahramaa regulations, Qatar Civil Defense requirements and local authority approval procedures.

Responsibilities

Review electrical design drawings, SLDs, load calculations, lighting calculations, shop drawings, material submittals and method statements to ensure compliance with project specifications.
Supervise and inspect the installation of all electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, emergency lighting, small power and earthing.
Review ELV systems including CCTV, access control, data networks, BMS interfaces and other low-current systems.
Coordinate electrical works with architectural, mechanical, fire protection and ICT disciplines.
Review equipment selections and verify compliance with schedules and energy efficiency requirements.
Monitor construction progress, issue NCRs, and verify corrective actions.
Witness testing and commissioning activities and review test reports and manuals.
Maintain project documentation such as RFIs, submittals, inspection records and as-built documents.
