Job summary

Confidential, a leading engineering firm in Qatar, seeks an experienced Electrical Engineer (UPDA Grade A) to lead design and execution of electrical systems for major projects. The candidate must have at least 10 years of relevant experience, UPDA Grade A and QCDD certifications, and strong leadership capabilities.

Responsibilities include coordinating with project teams, preparing drawings and specifications, conducting site visits, and managing project documentation and cost estimates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (B.Tech or B.E.) from a recognized institution.
• Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on project management and execution.
• Grade A UPDA and QCDD certifications are mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of electrical engineering principles, codes, standards, and practices.
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and leadership skills; able to manage multiple projects.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other relevant software tools for electrical design and documentation.
• Experience in Qatar or the Middle East region preferred.
• Nationality: Indian preferred, others with relevant experience encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with project managers, architects, and clients to understand project requirements and develop electrical engineering solutions.
• Design electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, control systems, and fire alarm systems, ensuring code compliance.
• Prepare technical drawings, specifications, and documentation for electrical installations and supervise their implementation.
• Conduct site visits and inspections to assess progress, troubleshoot issues, and ensure quality and safety.
• Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and vendors to procure materials and services for project execution.
• Provide technical support and guidance to project teams and participate in project reviews.
• Prepare project reports, progress updates, and cost estimates; participate in stakeholder meetings.
