Job summary

Northwestern University in Qatar (NU-Q) is seeking a Senior Digital Media Video Specialist to lead and support a wide range of media production activities, from filming with cinema cameras to editing with Premiere Pro and After Effects.

The role includes training faculty and students, managing production facilities, and contributing to in-class and event coverage with flexible evening/weekend hours. A strong background in video production and Adobe Creative Suite is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in production, media technology, or a related field; plus significant production experience.
• 10 years of media production experience with filming, lighting, and editing.
• Experience mentoring or teaching in educational or in-house settings.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain NU-Q media production facilities and equipment.
• Lead and edit video content for events, conferences, and social media.
• Train students and faculty on production facilities and software.
• Provide support for Adobe Creative Suite, Pro Tools, DaVinci Resolve, ENPS.
• Assist at NU-Q events, setup, rehearsals, and on-site coverage.
• Develop workflows and documentation for equipment use.
