Job summary

The Group Securities seeks an experienced Senior Database Manager to lead the Database Management department, delivering secure, resilient, high-performing database services across the Group and subsidiaries. You will own strategy, architecture, operations, security, and vendor management across Oracle, MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB environments.

You will govern Exadata/ODA lifecycles, backup and DR plans, and continuous improvement, ensuring alignment with regulatory and continuity

Qualifications

• 10+ years in information technology.
• 8+ years in database administration/engineering in enterprise environments.
• 5+ years in team leadership or technical leadership.
• Hands-on experience with Oracle and MS SQL Server; knowledge of PostgreSQL and MongoDB.

Responsibilities

• Own the database management operating model, prioritization, standards, documentation, and service quality objectives.
• Lead enterprise database platforms (Oracle and MS SQL Server) with support for PostgreSQL and MongoDB.
• Establish database engineering standards, lifecycle plans, backups, patches, and monitoring requirements.
• Review and approve database designs for new applications, upgrades, migrations, and major changes.
• Monitor emerging database technologies (Oracle Cloud, hybrid services) to inform architecture and roadmaps.
• Govern Oracle Exadata/ODA, ASM storage, and Exadata components; oversee monitoring and performance.
• Manage availability, recovery, high availability, clustering, switchover, and DR for all databases.
• Ensure security controls, change management, and audit/compliance with policies (ISO 22301, ISO/IEC 27001).
• Lead incident/problem management with documented RCA and remediation actions.
• Coordinate with stakeholders on dependencies and resilience requirements; manage vendor relationships and licenses.
• Oversee asset inventories, diagrams, and runbooks; support audits and continuity readiness.
• Promote AI tools for monitoring, analytics, and documentation with governance.
• Drive business continuity and operational resilience plans for databases.
