Job summary

Al Mutla Trading & Contracting in Qatar is seeking a Carpentry Supervisor to oversee workshop and site teams, plan daily activities, and ensure on-time delivery of doors, kitchens, wardrobes and other custom joinery projects.

The role requires at least 5 years in carpentry/joinery, strong leadership, and the ability to manage both production and installation. Qatar/Gulf experience is advantageous; immediate joining is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in carpentry & joinery works.
• Previous experience as a Carpentry/Joinery Supervisor or Foreman.
• Strong knowledge of MDF, plywood, solid wood, laminate, veneer, hardware, and finishing materials.
• Good understanding of furniture and joinery production methods.
• Ability to read shop drawings and prepare/understand cutting lists.
• Strong leadership and manpower management skills.
• Gulf/Qatar experience is an advantage.
• Must be capable of managing both workshop production and site installation teams.

Responsibilities

• Supervise carpenters, joiners, machine operators, and helpers.
• Plan and distribute daily workshop and site activities.
• Manage production of doors, kitchens, wardrobes, cabinets, furniture, wall cladding, counters, and custom joinery works.
• Read and understand shop drawings, cutting lists, and technical details.
• Take and verify accurate site measurements before production.
• Coordinate between design, production, procurement, and site teams.
• Prepare material requirements and cutting lists.
• Control material consumption and minimize wastage.
• Ensure high-quality fabrication, assembly, finishing, and installation.
• Monitor production targets and project deadlines.
• Supervise the proper use of panel saws, edge banding machines, CNC/router machines, and other woodworking equipment.
• Solve technical and installation issues.
• Maintain workshop organization, safety, and productivity.
• Provide daily progress reports to management.
