Job summary

Confidential is seeking a Capital Gains Tax Valuation Expert in Doha to conduct accurate asset and liability valuations for complex corporate transactions, including restructurings and M&A. The role requires deep IFRS/IAS knowledge and a strong grasp of Qatari tax rules and financial reporting standards.

Applicants should have 10+ years in tax auditing, with at least 5 years in government or regulatory settings, and demonstrate experience with intercompany transactions and dispute resolution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting is required.
• Master’s degree in accounting is preferable.
• Advanced knowledge of IAS/IFRS, with emphasis on IFRS 13, IFRS 3 and IAS 36.

Responsibilities

• Conduct accurate valuations of assets and liabilities for complex corporate transactions.
• Ensure valuations align with Qatari and international tax regulations and reporting standards.
• Apply Market, Income, and Cost Approaches to valuation scenarios.
• Assess capital gains/losses from restructurings, M&A, and related-party dealings.
• Support disputes resolution with regulatory authorities using sound accounting practices.
