Job summary

Ecojob in Doha, Qatar is seeking an experienced Accountant to join our finance team. You will provide financial information to management by researching and analyzing accounting data and preparing reports.

The ideal candidate has strong organizational and communication skills, a keen eye for detail, and at least five years of accounting experience with GAAP and standard software. Primary duties include maintaining records, producing monthly statements, tax work, and advising on cost-saving

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 5+ years’ experience in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting regulations.
• Experience with QuickBooks or Microsoft Dynamics GP.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate records of financial transactions.
• Analyze financial information and reports.
• Prepare periodic reports including profit & loss statements, balance sheets, trial balances and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare invoices and ensure that payments are made on time.
• Ensure that all account documents comply with legal requirements.
• Monitor expenditures against budget targets.
• Prepare tax returns and provide advice on tax matters.
• Provide advice on business performance improvement initiatives.
• Identify areas where cost savings can be made.
