Job summary

Oman OnlineConnect is seeking a highly experienced Senior Accountant to oversee financial operations in Al-Rayyan, Qatar. You will ensure accuracy, compliance, and strong internal controls while guiding month-end close and reporting processes.

The role requires at least 5 years of accounting experience, a degree in Accounting or Finance, proficiency with Excel and SAP, and the ability to work independently or in a team. CPA/CMA is a plus.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day accounting incl. AP/AR, payroll, GL.

• Monitor cash flow and forecasting; assist budgeting.
• Ensure internal controls and participate in audits.

Senior Accountant

We are seeking a highly experienced and analytical Senior Accountant to join our team in Al-Rayyan. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of our company, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and financial management, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day accounting activities including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and general ledger
• Prepare monthly financial statements and reports
• Conduct monthly reconciliations of all accounts
• Ensure accurate recording of all financial transactions
• Monitor cash flow and forecasting
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes
• Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement
• Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets
• Participate in audits and assist with preparation of audit materials
• Stay up-to-date on relevant accounting standards and regulations

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (Master's preferred)
• Minimum 5 years of experience as an Accountant or similar role
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and procedures
• Proficient in MS Office Suite (especially Excel) and accounting software (SAP preferred)
• Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data

Preferred Qualifications
