Job summary

Accorhotel is seeking a vigilant Security Officer in Lusail, Qatar. The role focuses on maintaining a safe, secure environment for staff, visitors and assets, responding promptly to incidents, and coordinating with authorities as needed.

The candidate should hold a valid Qatar security license, have 2–3 years in security operations, and possess First Aid/CPR certification. Fluency in English is required; Arabic is a plus. Flexibility for nights and weekends is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Qatar security guard license.
• 2-3 years of professional security operations experience.
• First Aid and CPR certification (current).
• Excellent physical fitness and stamina.
• Proficiency in surveillance and monitoring techniques.
• Strong knowledge of emergency response procedures and protocols.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of local laws and regulations related to security operations in Qatar.
• Fluency in English; Arabic knowledge preferred.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Valid work permit or visa eligibility for employment in Qatar.

Responsibilities

• Patrol designated areas to prevent and detect intrusion and secure doors, windows, gates, and access points.
• Monitor and authorize entry/exit of employees and visitors to prevent theft and ensure premises security.
• Respond promptly to alarms and investigate disturbances with sound judgment.
• Draft detailed incident reports and maintain daily activity logs.
• Operare and monitor surveillance cameras and security equipment with attention to detail.
• Perform access control procedures and conduct security screening of personnel and vehicles.
• Escort or drive and provide personal protection when required.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement and security personnel as needed.
• Follow all health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.
• Deliver excellent customer service by addressing inquiries from employees and visitors.
• Stay updated on security protocols and Qatar-specific regulations.
