NIA Barwa is part of The Newton Group, founded in 2006, which is the largest network of schools in Qatar. Our international schools deliver the British National Curriculum across all age groups. We are staffed by British and English speaking teachers who provide a caring educational environment for our local and expatriate students who come from a wide range of backgrounds. We put student and staff well‑being and safeguarding first and therefore our students feel safe and happy in the school and staff retention has remained consistently high over the past decade, never falling below 80–85%.
Whilst we develop our students holistically through a variety of ECAs ranging from Duke of Edinburgh Award to Debating and MUN, our main focus is on academics. Our IGCSE and A Level A‑C and 9‑4 reach 90% and over. Our A*‑A and 9‑8 is currently over 50%.
