Job summary

Hecparisinqatar is seeking a Research Assistant to support investigations in organization theory, entrepreneurship, and sociology. The role blends conceptual work, literature reviews, and qualitative data analysis to develop theoretical explanations of social phenomena.

The candidate will conduct interviews and field observations, code qualitative data, and synthesize findings across disciplines, with a focus on Qatar contexts and social purpose organizations.

Qualifications

• Excellent academic writing and synthesis of complex research.
• Ability to compare theories and identify patterns and gaps.
• Experience with conceptual research, structured literature reviews, or qualitative analysis desirable.

Responsibilities

• Conduct and support qualitative interviews and field observations.
• Code and analyze existing qualitative datasets, including interviews and fieldnotes.
• Analyze photographs and other visual or material research data.
• Identify potential research cases, organizations, settings, and participants in Qatar.
• Conduct targeted literature reviews and synthesize research across disciplines.
• Connect interview, observational, and visual evidence to identify patterns, mechanisms, and counterexamples.
• Prepare analytical research memos, case summaries, and evidence tables.
• Maintain accurate and organized research documentation.
