Job summary

Swan Global in Doha, Qatar is seeking an experienced Refrigeration Technician to perform Planned Preventive Maintenance, Corrective Maintenance, and operational activities for refrigeration plant room equipment.

The successful candidate will handle system diagnostics, repairs, performance optimization, and updates in CMMS, read drawings, and coordinate with contractors under AMC; you will respond promptly to breakdowns while maintaining compliance with safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Perform Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) and Corrective Maintenance (CM) activities in accordance with approved maintenance schedules and engineering guidelines.
• Operate refrigeration plant room equipment as instructed by the Senior Mechanical Engineer.
• Inspect, diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain refrigeration systems and associated mechanical equipment.
• Ensure refrigeration systems operate efficiently with minimum downtime.
• Complete maintenance work orders accurately and update all maintenance activities in the CMMS.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, wiring diagrams, and equipment manuals.
• Monitor equipment performance and identify opportunities for preventive improvements.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations, building codes, environmental standards, and health & safety requirements.
• Respond promptly to emergency breakdowns and equipment failures.
• Supervise contractors performing maintenance under Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMC).
• Coordinate contractor schedules for preventive maintenance and emergency repairs.

Key Responsibilities

Operation & Maintenance

• Perform Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) and Corrective Maintenance (CM) activities in accordance with approved maintenance schedules and engineering guidelines.
