Responsibilities

  • Implements KPIs and best practices for card industry and daily activity.
  • Promote cost consciousness, efficiency and productivity to optimise bank benefits.
  • Act within the limits of the powers delegated to the incumbent.
  • Maintain SLAs with internal units to improve turnaround time.
  • Assist customers in queries and provide solutions for bank products.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with related departments to achieve objectives.
  • Provide timely data to auditors, Compliance, Financial Control and Risk when required.
  • Maintain shift logs and fault reports per procedures.
  • Report card issuance issues and coordinate with vendors to resolve faults per SLAs.
  • Abide by information security policies for card issuance systems.
  • Identify development opportunities and pursue professional development.
  • Stay current with developments in the field.
  • Comply with AML, CTF, Sanctions, Data Protection, Fraud Control and related policies.
  • Understand Three Lines of Defence responsibilities.
  • Ensure Conduct Risk-compliant client outcomes.
  • Support risk activities and remediation as appropriate.
  • Maintain knowledge and qualifications required for the role.
  • Complete mandatory training and attend seminars.
  • Maintain confidentiality of customer and bank information.
  • Uphold QNB's reputation and market leadership.
  • Perform other ad hoc duties as instructed.

Job Purpose Summary

The incumbent is responsible for Electronic Switch systems and related applications, including day-to-day operational tasks, issue escalation, system availability, disaster recovery (DR) simulations, certification support, and reporting escalations to E-Payment Management.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Shareholder & Financial
  • Implements KPI's and best practices for card industry and perform day-to-day activity.
  • Promote cost consciousness and efficiency and enhance productivity, to minimise cost, avoid waste, and optimise benefits for the bank.
  • Act within the limits of the powers delegated to the incumbent.
Customer (Internal & External)
  • Maintain activities in accordance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs) with internal departments/units to achieve improvements in turn-around time.
  • Assist customers in all their queries on the Bank's products and seek solutions to their requests.
  • Build and maintain strong/effective relationships with related departments/units to achieve the Group's objectives.
  • Provide timely and accurate data to external/internal Auditors, Compliance, Financial Control and Risk when required.
Internal (Processes, Products, Regulatory)
  • Maintain records of events via shift logs and other standard fault reports as per procedures.
  • Report all card issuance issues and communicate with line management, internal departments and vendors to resolve faults as per agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Abide by policies and procedures developed for maintaining Information Security for card issuance systems.
Learning & Knowledge
  • Proactively identify areas for professional development and undertake development activities.
  • Seek opportunities to remain current with developments in the professional field.
Legal, Regulatory & Risk
  • Comply with all applicable legal, regulatory and internal compliance requirements, including AML, CTF, Sanctions, Data Protection, Fraud Control, Whistle Blowing and Conflict of Interest policies.
  • Understand and effectively perform responsibilities under the Three Lines of Defence principle.
  • Ensure good client outcomes in accordance with Conduct Risk requirements.
  • Support RCSA, KRI, incident reporting and remediation activities as appropriate.
  • Maintain appropriate knowledge and qualifications required for the role.
  • Complete all mandatory training requirements.
  • Attend mandatory internal and external seminars as instructed by the Bank.
Other Responsibilities
  • Ensure high standards of data protection and confidentiality.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality concerning customer and internal bank information.
  • Maintain high professional standards to uphold QNB's reputation and market leadership.
  • Perform all other ad hoc duties and activities requested by management.
