Qualifications

QHSE Management System Analyst

Location: Qatar

Overview

We are seeking an experienced QHSE Management System Analyst to support and monitor health, safety, and environmental initiatives across operational sites. The role involves implementing HSE management systems, conducting audits, and providing data‑driven analysis to support compliance and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist senior QHSE management system analysts in setting annual HSE objectives and provide support to achieve them
  • Review and implement permit requirements for materials warehouses and ensure appropriate training for permit applicants
  • Report and track incidents, near misses, unsafe acts, and unsafe conditions
  • Prepare safety alerts and lessons learned communications
  • Support departmental SMART objectives, assist management in target setting, and obtain necessary approvals
  • Conduct warehouse and office inspections across multiple locations, including operations sites, and track follow‑up actions
  • Plan and organise departmental HSE tours
  • Prepare, review, and update department risk registers
  • Prepare, review, and update Legal Obligations Registers (LORs)
  • Develop and maintain department training matrix, reviewing periodically for new requirements
  • Support safety campaigns such as heat stress management, chemical handling, hot work, height work, lifting operations, and Life‑Saving Rules communication
  • Inspect chemical handling, storage, and transportation facilities, implement safe measures, and ensure MSDS and COSHH compliance
  • Oversee safe handling, lifting, and transportation of construction materials
  • Coordinate environmental monitoring, including noise, CO2 emissions, illumination levels, and related assessments
  • Manage waste storage, segregation, and handling in compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Assist in corrective actions from internal and external HSE audits
  • Prepare, review, and implement HSE plans, procedures, and method statements
  • Organise and conduct site HSE audits, prepare reports, track findings, and follow up closures
  • Conduct periodic inspections of firefighting systems and coordinate with vendors for testing, inspection, and calibration
  • Review and assess HSE‑related contract documents
Candidate Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering with Diploma in Industrial Safety or equivalent
  • NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent recognised safety qualification
  • 10–12 years of experience in supply chain, warehouse, or material handling, preferably including Oil & Gas sector
  • Proven experience in planning, conducting, and reporting HSE audits and inspections
  • Experience in analysing and reporting HSE data
  • Strong organisational, analytical, and problem‑solving skills
  • Proficient in communication and interpersonal skills, able to liaise with stakeholders at multiple levels
  • Proficient in English, both written and spoken
