Scale's Global Public Sector team is offering a Summer 2027 internship in San Francisco. Interns own real, shipped work on the same roadmaps as full-time engineers, with mentorship and a culture that values ownership and speed.

The role targets product engineering with full-stack web apps, API integrations, and data-driven features. Ideal candidates are CS or related field students graduating Fall 2027/Spring 2028, with hands-on web development and internships.

Qualifications

Graduation date Fall 2027 or Spring 2028 with a Bachelor's in CS/EECS/Computer Engineering/Statistics
Available for a Summer 2027 internship (May/June start) in San Francisco
Experience building web apps full-stack and talking to customers to determine what to build
Prior CS/Software Engineering internship experience is preferred
Track record of shipping high-quality products and features

Responsibilities

Build and ship features on roadmaps alongside full-time engineers
Develop and maintain web applications with APIs and backend services
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including customers to iterate on product requirements
Contribute to data-driven projects and improve system reliability
