Job summary

Centena Group in Doha, Qatar, seeks a Project Engineer to design, develop and execute customized analytical packages and systems across refineries, power plants, chemical and petrochemical sectors. The role emphasizes economy, safety, reliability, quality and sustainability, with responsibilities spanning concept through to handover, testing and QA.

You will handle design calculations, deliverables, safety interlocks in hazardous areas, and project planning while coordinating with end users,

Qualifications

• Experience designing chromatographs project CEMS analyzer shelter analyzer.
• Ability to prepare design deliverables such as schematics, P&ID, electrical diagrams.
• Strong focus on economy, safety, reliability, quality and sustainability.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop customized analytical packages and system projects.
• Prepare design deliverables including schematics, P&ID, electrical diagrams and data sheets.
• Plan projects, review contracts, and coordinate with end users, consultants, EPCs and OEMs.
• Assist in internal QA/QC testing of analyzers and systems.

Job description

• As Project Engineer - Design, develop & execute customized analytical package / system projects in various industries like refineries, power plants, chemical and petrochemical.
• Design & develop systems to required specifications, focusing on economy, safety, reliability, quality and sustainability.
• Concept/design through to project implementation, testing and quality assurance and handover.
• Preparation of Design calculations like Lag time calculations, sample probe wake-up frequency calculation, carrier and calibration gas consumption calculation, power & utility consumption calculations etc.
• Preparation/review of design deliverables like Flow schematics/P&ID for Gas Chromatographs, Oxygen, NDIR, CEMS Analyser Sample conditioning system, Hook-up diagrams, Cooler calculations, Instrument datasheet/specifications, General arrangement/Layout drawings of Analyser shelter, Cabinets, Utility & process interconnection drawings, Cause & effect chart, Electrical wiring/ Single line diagrams, cable schedule.
• Designing of Shelter safety, F&G, HVAC operational logics/interlocks in hazardous area.
• Project Planning and Management - Review of contracts documents / identifying the key risk factors/ mitigating the risks, attending Kick off meetings, project review meetings, liase between end user/consultant/EPC /OEM s
• Standardisation of Systems/specifications / sub vendors etc
• Assist in internal QA /QC testing of analysers systems that’s build including OEM Analysers.
