Senior Project Engineer – Offshore Oil & Gas (Qatar, Residential)

Location: Qatar (Residential, Single Status)

Contract Duration: 2–3 years (minimum)

Are you an experienced Project Engineer with a strong background in offshore oil & gas platforms? We are currently seeking a Senior Project Engineer to join a long-term, high-profile redevelopment project with one of the region’s leading energy operators.

This is a residential position based in Qatar on a single status, offering excellent long-term stability, challenging technical work, and the opportunity to be part of a complex multi-year offshore development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage all phases of engineering and execution for offshore process and gas compression facilities, including jackets, topsides, bridges, and appurtenances.
• Develop and implement project execution plans in alignment with international project management frameworks.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams to ensure timely delivery of engineering deliverables and resolution of technical issues.
• Oversee contract administration, change management, risk management, and project interfaces.
• Ensure compliance with HSE standards and project quality requirements throughout the lifecycle.
• Engage in procurement, tendering, contractor oversight, and vendor performance management.
• Support project close-out, system handover, and integration into operational readiness.

Ideal Candidate:

• Degree-qualified in an Engineering discipline (Mechanical, Electrical, or similar).
• Minimum 12 years of experience in offshore oil & gas engineering and project management.
• Proven track record in managing large-scale EPIC (Engineering, Procurement, Installation, Commissioning) projects.
• Deep experience with offshore platform structures and facilities.
• Strong communication, stakeholder coordination, and leadership skills.
• Experience in working with or alongside national oil companies in the Middle East is highly desirable.

Additional Details:

• Residential role based in Qatar – single status only.
• Flights, medical cover, and visa support provided for the individual.
• Work schedule varies between office-based (5-day week) and site-based (6-day week).
• Paid annual leave and rotation included.
