Job Description – Procurement Engineer (Experienced Level)

Position Title : Procurement Engineer

Department : Supply Chain

Reporting To : Supply Chain Manager

Position Overview

We are looking for an experienced and career-driven Procurement Engineer to join our Supply Chain Department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing end-to-end procurement activities, ensuring cost-effective purchasing, supplier performance, and compliance with company policies. This role requires strong analytical skills, market knowledge, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the full procurement cycle : sourcing, evaluation, negotiation, purchase order issuance, and follow-up.
  • Identify and evaluate new suppliers to enhance quality, cost, and delivery performance.
  • Review technical specifications, project requirements, and ensure materials comply with standards.
  • Coordinate with internal departments (operations, logistics, warehouse, finance, and project teams).
  • Monitor supplier performance and maintain accurate supplier records.
  • Maintain cost comparisons, purchase reports, and procurement analyses.
  • Ensure all procurement activities follow company policies, procedures, and budget guidelines.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within the procurement function.
  • Manage urgent or time-sensitive requirements efficiently without compromising quality.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of procurement experience (preferably in industrial, engineering, oil & gas, chemicals, or construction sectors).
  • Strong understanding of procurement processes, supplier evaluation, and cost analysis.
  • ERP experience is required.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
