Job summary

Worley is seeking an experienced piping design professional for offshore brownfield projects in Qatar. You will contribute to detailed piping design, multidisciplinary coordination, and ensure compliance with HSSE requirements while mentoring junior staff.

Qualifications

• Offshore experience (brownfield essential).
• Piping/detail design expertise in oil/gas industry.
• Experience with multi-disciplinary project leadership.

Responsibilities

• Supports the business by communicating team resource loading and skill requirements to the direct supervisor.
• Ensures the project work is covered for vacation and unplanned absences.
• Mentors/trains and supports the delivery of training.
• Encourages knowledge of and compliance with requirements and processes.
• Works to resolve inter-discipline, vendor, and customer issues.
• Ensures discipline technical work and team activities meet all health, safety, environmental, and security requirements.
• Determines technical issues, defines alternate solutions, establishes pros/cons for multiple solutions, and makes recommendations to support official project documents such as technical queries, technical deviations, etc.
• Creates final documentation incorporating all relevant information and pursues internal authorization.
• May review similar documentation to assist others and reviews/authorizes work done by direct reports.
• Perform discipline specific design and drafting services such as: ensure the project scope is clear and that changes to scope comply with project change management processes; participate in studies and analyses and recommend actions; prepare and oversee the production of engineering drawings and documentation; ensure all drawings and documents are checked in accordance with Worley checking procedures; participate in project reviews as required.

Qualifications

• Education – Qualifications, Accreditation, Training:
• Trade Apprenticeship, Certificate, Diploma, Advance Diploma of Engineering Technology in Mechanical/Piping discipline.

Industry Specific Knowledge

Offshore experience (brownfield essential). Proven experience of detailed piping design gained with design contractors and/or oil/gas companies within the industry. Extensive design experience in the relevant discipline in the same or similar industry, and, where relevant, experience managing and leading multi-disciplinary projects and teams.

IT Skills

2D Software: Auto CAD, Micro-Station3D Software: PDS, S3D / PDMS, E3D3D Review Software: Navisworks, SPRLFM proficiency Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, Power point
