Wood is actively seeking applications for Principal Engineering System Engineer role to support future growth in our expanding business. The projects team focuses on delivering across FEED, Pre-FEED, Brownfield, and Greenfield scopes of work. In this role, you will be responsible for the execution of project work in accordance with the project execution plan, including Wood and/or Project Procedures on Safety and Quality Control within the man-hour, cost and the project schedule targets.

This is a long-term assignment based in Qatar.

Qualifications

• Well established industry reputation, typically 15 years experience
• Strong business acumen and commercial awareness.
• Positive and practical with an ability to think strategically.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of business processes, data and IT systems utilised within an industrial and corporate environment.
• Excellent understanding of business and technology trends, with a strong understanding of underlying systems and data. Understand how data driven insights inform and unlock better decision-making and value generation
• Experience contributing to engineering discussions, technology decisions and strategy relating to delivering client facing products
• Experience working in cross-functional teams with the ability to influence, build relationships and sell ideas to stakeholders, clients and partners, sometimes in challenging circumstances
