Job summary

A leading educational institution in Qatar is seeking a Postdoctoral Researcher to develop sustainable aviation fuel pathways for Qatar Airways. This role involves assessing local feedstocks, running techno-economic models, and engaging with industry stakeholders. Candidates must have a Ph.D. in a related field and experience in fuel assessment and lifecycle analysis. Excellent English skills are mandatory, while Arabic proficiency is a plus. The position offers opportunities for impactful research in alignment with Qatar's National Vision 2030.

Qualifications

  • Must hold a Ph.D. in Chemical or Environmental Engineering.
  • Proven research excellence in sustainable fuels.
  • Experience in techno-economic modelling and lifecycle assessments.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct assessments of suitable feedstocks for SAF production.
  • Develop techno-economic and lifecycle assessment models.
  • Design laboratory testing and fuel characterization activities.
  • Evaluate technical integration requirements for SAF.
  • Support stakeholder engagement and prepare technical reports.
  • Contribute to policy analysis for SAF adoption.
