Job summary

UCC Holding is seeking a Planning Manager to lead scheduling, planning controls, and progress reporting for major power infrastructure EPC projects in the region.

The role requires extensive experience with Primavera P6, WBS baselines, and EVM, plus a proven track record on large-scale power plant projects. GCC exposure is highly valued, and the candidate will mentor planning engineers across multiple projects.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of project planning experience.
• At least 8 years in power generation, transmission, substations, or power infrastructure EPC projects.
• Proven experience on large-scale power plant projects (CCGT, GT, Thermal, Renewable Energy).
• GCC project experience is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain overall project master schedules using Primavera P6.
• Establish project WBS, baselines, critical path, and project controls procedures.
• Monitor project progress and identify schedule risks and delays.
• Lead schedule recovery plans and mitigation strategies.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and client teams.
• Analyze project performance through earned value management (EVM).
• Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports for management and clients.
• Review contractor and subcontractor schedules and progress updates.
• Support claims, extension of time (EOT), and delay analysis activities.
• Lead and mentor planning engineers across multiple projects.
• Ensure compliance with project controls standards and reporting requirements.

The role ensures that project schedules are realistic, resource-loaded, and aligned with contractual milestones.

Requirements

• Proven experience on large-scale power plant projects (CCGT, Combined Cycle, Gas Turbine, Thermal, Renewable Energy projects preferred).
• GCC project experience is highly desirable.
