Job summary

Tanqeeb is seeking a Specialist Pediatrics to deliver comprehensive medical care for infants, children and adolescents across the Pediatric Inpatient Unit, general wards and ER in Qatar. The role requires assessment, diagnosis, treatment, stabilization, admission and ongoing management in line with MMCH policies and MoPH standards.

The successful candidate will hold MBBS or MD with postgraduate pediatrics qualification, be licensed as a Specialist in Pediatrics, and provide family-centered care

Qualifications

• Recognized medical degree MBBS/MD or equivalent.
• Recognized postgraduate specialty qualification / Board Certification in Pediatrics.
• Meets licensing requirements as Specialist in Pediatrics with Qatar MoPH – DHP.
• Post-specialization clinical experience in Pediatrics as per DHP licensing requirements.
• English proficiency; Arabic is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose and manage acute and general pediatric conditions presenting to the Emergency Department.
• Provide initial stabilization and emergency management and coordinate escalation or transfer when needed.
• Determine patient disposition from the ER (discharge, observation, admission or referral).
• Manage pediatric patients in inpatient wards with daily assessment and follow-up.
• Conduct ward rounds and review progress, investigations and treatment plans.
• Collaborate with Emergency Medicine, Neonatology and other specialties to ensure comprehensive care.
