Job summary

Jing Hau is seeking a skilled Spanish Language Tutor to join our team in Al-Khor, Qatar. The tutor will develop individualized lesson plans, teach all core language skills, and integrate cultural elements into engaging lessons for learners of all levels.

The role is part-time with flexible hours and requires the tutor to provide their own transportation to students' locations in Al-Khor. No visa sponsorship or housing is provided. Training for new tutors is offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Spanish or related field preferred.
• Native or near-native proficiency in Spanish.
• Experience teaching Spanish as a second language preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patience, creativity, and enthusiasm for teaching.
• Ability to work with students of all ages.

Responsibilities

• Develop individualized lesson plans based on students' learning goals and abilities.
• Teach Spanish language skills including grammar, vocabulary, reading, writing, speaking, and listening.
• Incorporate cultural aspects of the Spanish-speaking world into lessons.
• Provide regular progress updates to students and their parents/guardians.
• Create a positive and supportive learning environment for students.
• Utilize a variety of teaching methods to cater to different learning styles.
• Encourage students to practice outside of class through homework assignments or extra study materials.
• Monitor student progress and make adjustments to lesson plans as needed.
