Job summary

BlueHorizon in Lusail, Qatar, is seeking a qualified English Teacher to join our international school community. This role is open to Canadian and foreign nationals and offers visa sponsorship with part-time hours.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field, TEFL/TESOL/CELTA certification, and at least two years of ESL teaching experience. Strong communication and the ability to work independently and with colleagues are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education or related field.
• Teaching certification or license (TEFL/TESOL/CELTA).
• Minimum of 2 years experience teaching English as a second language.
• Familiarity with ESL teaching methods and resources.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with other teachers.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement lesson plans that meet the needs and abilities of students
• Teach grammar, vocabulary, reading, writing, speaking and listening skills
• Assess students' progress and provide feedback to parents and administration
• Create a positive learning environment that encourages student participation and academic success
• Collaborate with other teachers to develop interdisciplinary projects
• Attend staff meetings and professional development workshops
