Job Summary

The successful candidate will have the ability to work independently and be part of a team of painters dedicated to providing high-quality finishes that are aesthetically pleasing. This position offers a competitive salary of 1400 QAR per month with potential for growth.

Duties and Responsibilities

• The Painter is responsible for all aspects of painting work including surface preparation, application of paint, staining, varnishing, wallpaper installation, repairing existing finishes, taping and masking surfaces before painting, as well as clean up afterwards.
• The Painter should also be able to identify any potential problems with surfaces before they start painting and take corrective action if necessary.
• The Painter must also follow safety rules to minimize risk when using ladders or other tools/equipment.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years’ experience in the trade.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to follow directions accurately.
• Knowledge of different types of paints, stains, varnishes and wallpapers.
• Ability to mix colors correctly according to specifications.
• A valid driver’s licence is required due to extensive travel between sites.
• Previous experience working in Qatar or the Middle East would be advantageous but not essential (training can be provided on site).
• Prepared to consider applications from immigrants who meet the necessary criteria.
