Job summary

IRM Energy & Technology in Doha, Qatar is seeking an experienced OT Network Operations specialist. You will provide operational support for OT network infrastructure, ensuring secure, reliable, and resilient operation through monitoring, troubleshooting, maintenance, and coordinated changes.

Responsibilities include configuring OT switches/routers/firewalls, troubleshooting latency and protocol issues, maintaining configurations and documentation, and ensuring cybersecurity compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Networking, Electronics, Computer Science or related discipline.
• CCNA/CCNP or equivalent networking certification preferred.
• 4–6 years of OT network operations experience, preferably in oil and gas.
• Experience providing Level 2 OT network support and troubleshooting.
• Experience in network availability, configuration, monitoring, and changes.

Responsibilities

• Strong hands-on knowledge of Ethernet, routing, VLANs, firewalls and OT networks.
• Configure, monitor and troubleshoot OT switches, routers, firewalls and links.
• Troubleshoot connectivity, routing, latency, packet loss and protocol issues.
• Maintain network configurations, topology, IPs, VLANs, firewall rules and backups.
• Implement approved changes, upgrades, security updates and failover testing.
• Support OT segmentation, DMZs, secure remote access and network monitoring.
• Analyse logs, packet captures and performance data for root-cause resolution.
• Coordinate maintenance, commissioning and troubleshooting with stakeholders and vendors.
• Maintain technical documentation, incident/change records and cybersecurity compliance.
• CCNA, CCNP or equivalent certification preferred.

• Support OT segmentation, DMZs, secure remote access and network monitoring.
• Analyse logs, packet captures and performance data for root-cause resolution.
