Job summary

Sidra Medicine NICU is seeking a dedicated Clinical Nurse to provide safe, high-quality direct care for neonates and their families in a dynamic unit. You will assess needs, plan and implement care, and contribute to ongoing education and training of staff and students.

The role requires competencies in hygiene, neonatal assessment, non-invasive respiratory support, nutrition, and family-centered care, with responsibilities extending to patient safety and adherence to Sidra Standards of Practice.

Qualifications

• Competencies include hygiene care and neonatal assessment
• Recognition of deviations in clinical observations
• Non-invasive respiratory support including CPAP and BiPAP
• Nutrition for neonate/infant: oral, enteral, parenteral feeding
• Developmental care: positioning, skin-to-skin, minimal handling
• Infection control practices in the NICU
• Specimen collection

Responsibilities

• Provide safe and effective direct care to neonates and their families
• Assess care needs, plan, implement, and evaluate care programs
• Supervise staff and contribute to orientation and training
• Educate patients, families and students on care needs
• Maintain high standards aligned with Sidra Standards of Practice
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team for family-centered care
• Safeguard neonates and manage infection prevention
