Job summary

A leading engineering company in Doha is seeking an NDT Engineer to develop and implement inspection plans, supervise NDT activities, and ensure quality compliance. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Mechanical Engineering and at least 5 years of NDT experience in QA/QC roles within the oil and gas sector. Responsibilities include coordinating with contractors, maintaining documentation, and ensuring adherence to HSE requirements. Job description
  • Develop and implement NDT inspection plans in alignment withproject requirements.
  • Coordinate NDT activities with internal teams, contractors, andthird-party agencies.
  • Prepare and maintain NDT schedules in accordance with projectprogress.
Execution of NDT Activities
  • Supervise and execute NDT inspections using appropriate techniques(UT, RT, PT, MT, VT).
  • Ensure correct calibration and use of NDT equipment.
  • Maintain traceability of inspection records and test results.
Interpretation and Reporting
  • Interpret NDT results in compliance with applicable standards andproject specifications.
  • Prepare clear, accurate NDT reports and submit findings to QA/QCManager and relevant stakeholders.
  • Recommend corrective actions in case of non-conformance
Quality AssuranceCompliance
  • Verify that contractors and vendors meet project qualityrequirements through NDT verification.
  • Ensure compliance with international codes and client-specificstandards (ASME, API, AWS, etc.).
  • Support the QA/QC team in root cause analysis and correctiveaction implementation related to NDT findings.
Documentation and Records Management
  • Maintain NDT documentation, calibration certificates, andpersonnel qualification records.
  • Ensure timely submission and organization of NDT reports forproject handover and audits.
HSE and Best Practices
  • Ensure all NDT activities are performed in compliance with HSErequirements.
  • Promote best practices in inspection activities to improve qualityand efficiency.
Requirements
