The Munitions Operations Technician performs all munitions accountability and inventory actions, including maintaining historical records in accordance with AFMAN 21-200, DAFMAN 21-201, 11A-1-10, and other applicable technical data. Operates Theater Integrated Combat Munitions Systems (TICMS) and ensures compliance with the Performance Work Statement (PWS) and Amentum ISO 9001 Quality Management System (QMS).
Principal Accountabilities
- Enforces all USAF and host nation explosives safety, AFOSH, and security standards during explosives and non-explosives operations at assigned sites and temporary duty locations.
- Utilizes TICMS extensively and reports system discrepancies as required.
- Assists personnel with TICMS training and usage.
- Checks daily TICMS connectivity and addresses any issues.
- Conducts munitions work following established quality processes, identifies potential issues, and recommends solutions.
- Completes accountability and historical documentation promptly.
- Collaborates with department personnel to resolve serviceability and accountability issues, informing the Superintendent of problems.
- Immediately reports potential problems to the Munitions Superintendent/Operations Supervisor.
- Processes accountable/ auditable transactions and documents timely.
- Performs warehouse inventories and reports discrepancies.
- Works with the ADR process to ensure proper asset management and reconciles ADR files in TICMS, reporting issues to senior personnel.
- Assists in developing inspection schedules and monitors shelf and service life for disposition actions.
- Follows up on components needed for munitions TCTOs.
- Reviews AWM and AWP actions affecting stockpile serviceability.
- Tracks munitions shipments using the Data Environment (IDE) Global Transportation Network (GTN) Convergence (IGC).
- Supports mission requirements during peacetime and contingencies, including necessary hours and standby duties.
- Performs additional duties as assigned.
- Works in office, maintenance shop, warehouse, and outdoor environments as needed.
- Requires intermediate knowledge of USAF Supply and Tech Order systems or equivalent.
- Proficient in PC use, Windows OS, and Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
- May operate material handling equipment.
- Possesses valid home country driver’s license and ability to obtain host nation license.
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum two years of experience with Military Munitions and Munitions Operations or equivalent.
- Eligible for US Secret Security Clearance.
- Must wear PPE as required and be physically capable of duties, including lifting/pushing/pulling at least 50 lbs.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
- Normal color perception and depth of vision required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior USAF MASO experience.
- Prior USAF MAJCOM Staff experience.
- CCAF degree in Munitions Management.
