Job summary

PAE Government Services Inc. is seeking a Munitions Material Section Chief in Doha, Qatar. The role involves managing personnel and resources, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards, and leading production efforts related to munitions storage and handling.

Job description

The Munitions Material Section Chief is a highly experienced Munitions Supervisor responsible for the effective management of the assigned Material Elements (Storage, Shipping/Receiving and other elements as directed by the Superintendent) in accordance with established safety, technical, operational accountability standards and PWS contractual requirements. Ensures compliance with Performance Work Statement (PWS) and Amentum ISO 9001 Quality Management System (QMS).

Principal Accountabilities
  • Manages and is responsible for all assigned personnel and equipment in the Material Section, ensuring maximum utilization and conservation of resources.
  • Manages the Section according to the applicable standards of AFMAN 21‑200, DAFMAN 21‑201 and Munitions SOP.
  • In the event of an emergency, takes necessary control and timely response actions.
  • Enforces strict adherence of all applicable directives; i.e., technical, safety, security, quality.
  • Implements timely corrective actions of all discrepancies identified during internal/external audits.
  • Develops and manages production efforts, goals and levels according to contractual requirements.
  • Inspects munitions stockpile, facilities, tools, MMHE, support vehicles and equipment to ensure serviceability and determines causes of negative performance trends.
  • Evaluates technical skills of personnel for conformance to established standards.
  • Develops production schedules and goals to meet requirements of daily timesheets, special taskers, special projects and contingency support.
  • Submits schedules to Munitions Control and Superintendent for final approval.
  • Utilizes TICMS to the maximum extent possible in all production efforts and processes.
  • Verifies that personnel complete all accountability documentation that is an integral part of production actions and submit them on a timely manner to applicable elements.
  • Identifies and advises the Munitions Superintendent of limiting factors that may impact performance goals.
  • Advises Munitions Superintendent about personnel performance and all production actions to include root causes and solutions to correct negative trends in the Section's performance.
  • Monitors the skills and proficiency of assigned personnel as it impacts production efforts.
  • Conducts sample surveillance audits of different processes in the Elements.
  • Tracks training requirements and ensures personnel receive necessary training.
  • Ensures personnel properly utilize CTKs, special tool needs, bench stock requirements, MMHE and support equipment commensurate with production efforts.
  • Ensures that personnel accurately calculate and observe the net explosives limits of all storage and operating locations.
  • Verifies that visual inspections on lightning protection and static ground systems are performed and documented in accordance with applicable governing regulations.
  • Ensures Munitions Control is informed of fire symbol, hazard marker, Risk Category or classified munitions changes that affect munitions storage and maintenance facilities.
  • Performs entry‑controller duties as required.
  • May be appointed as the Munitions Superintendent during the incumbent's absence.
  • Performs required actions in TICMS utilizing the Receiver role.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Works necessary hours, to include stand‑by duties, to support mission requirements during peacetime and combat contingencies.
  • Works in normal office and maintenance shop or warehouse environment and may be required to work outdoors for extended periods.
Minimum Requirements
  • Intermediate knowledge of the USAF Supply, TMO, Munitions and Tech Order systems or US service equivalent.
  • Proficiency in personal computers, Windows Operating System and Microsoft Office (including Power Point, Excel and Word).
  • Ability to operate material handling equipment.
  • Valid home country driver’s license and ability to obtain host nation driver’s license.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of seven years of experience with USAF Military Munitions or US service equivalent.
  • Minimum of five years combined supervisory experience in USAF munitions activities and MMHE or US service equivalent.
  • Capability to attend the USAF Munitions Inspector Course.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret US Government Clearance; US Citizenship required.
  • Willingness to wear proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) according to prescribed procedures.
  • Physically capable of lifting, pushing or pulling minimum of 50 lbs.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
  • Normal color perception and depth of vision.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Preferred working knowledge of all munitions functional areas.
  • Preferred intermediate knowledge of MC2 and other information systems.
  • Preferred USAF munitions storage, maintenance, control and inspection procedures experience.
  • Preferred TICMS, MC2, TMRS and IMDS/DPAS M&U for Munitions and MMHE experience.
  • Preferred minimum two years of experience as USAF Munitions Inspector and award of Special Experience Identifier (SEI) Code 836.
  • Preferred intermediate experience in the operation of forklifts and tractor trailers.
  • Preferred CCAF degree in Munitions Management.
Compensation

$75,000 – $83,000 (Total Compensation). The compensation range or hourly rate listed for this position is provided as a good‑faith estimate of what the company intends to offer for this role at the time this posting was issued. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as job responsibilities, education, experience, skills, internal equity, market data, applicable collective bargaining agreements and relevant laws.
