Apt Resources is hiring a Mergers & Acquisitions Senior Expert to lead strategic growth initiatives in the Power Sector . As a key member of the Business Development team you will play a critical role in identifying evaluating and executing M&A opportunities that align with the organizations long-term vision. This high-impact role requires deep expertise in the full M&A lifecycle from target identification and due diligence to negotiation and post-deal integration.

You will collaborate closely with senior leadership to shape acquisition strategy monitor market trends and build strong industry relationships that drive value and expansion. The ideal candidate brings a proven track record of successful transactions within the energy or infrastructure sectors and combines strong analytical strategic and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities
  • Support the development and refinement of the companys M&A strategy ensuring alignment with overall business objectives and identifying potential acquisition or merger targets.
  • Assist in all phases of the M&A process including target screening transaction execution and post-merger integration.
  • Conduct market research and industry analysis to identify trends and M&A opportunities.
  • Evaluate financial statements business models and market positions of potential targets.
  • Build financial models and perform valuation analyses to assess deal impact.
  • Prepare investment proposals and business cases for senior management and board review.
  • Report on M&A progress and present findings to the M&A Manager.
  • Support negotiation and due diligence efforts coordinating with external advisors.
  • Track and report KPIs related to M&A performance and integration success.
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS EXPERIENCE & SKILLS

Minimum Qualifications :

  • Bachelors degree in Economics Finance Engineering or similar discipline from a reputable university with a preference for the candidates holding an MBA.

Minimum Experience :

  • 10 years of experience in similar roles in large companies of which at least 4 years are in positions of progressively increasing managerial responsibilities.

Job-Specific Skills (Generic / Technical) :

  • Demonstrated strategic thinking ability with strong problem solving and decision-making skills.
  • Established understanding of power / energy and water sectors emerging trends technologies and key players.
  • A demonstrable track record of working at the highest standards and delivering outstanding results.
  • Proficiency in English (must) and Arabic (significant plus).
  • Excellent relationship building skills.
  • Extensive skills in leading teams from a multi-cultural background.
  • Demonstrated negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Good understanding of Qatar and GCC culture and working environment.
