Job summary

A leading engineering company in Doha, Qatar, is seeking an experienced mechanic to oversee all mechanical repair work both inside the workshop and onsite. Ideal candidates will have a minimum of 6 years of experience in the maintenance, overhauling, and repair of rotating equipment, including centrifugal pumps, reciprocating compressors, and more. This role requires proven expertise in various mechanical systems and a strong commitment to quality repair work.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 years’ experience in maintenance, overhauling, and repair of rotating equipment.

Responsibilities

• In charge of all mechanical repair work inside workshop and outside as required.

Skills

Maintenance of centrifugal pumps (OH1, OH2, OH3, OH4, OH5, OH6, BB1, BB2, BB3, BB4, BB5 vertical multi-stage water lift pumps)

Maintenance and repair of reciprocating pumps

Maintenance and repair of reciprocating compressors

Maintenance and repair of gearboxes

Maintenance and repair of lobed blowers

Maintenance, repair and testing of mechanical seals

Maintenance and servicing of tube and shell exchangers

Maintenance and servicing of plate heat exchangers

• Proven experience in maintenance, repair and overhauling independently of centrifugal pumps (OH1, OH2, OH3, OH4, OH5, OH6, BB1, BB2, BB3, BB4, BB5 vertical multi-stage water lift pumps)
• Proven experience in the maintenance, overhauling and repair independently of reciprocating pumps
• Proven experience in the maintenance, overhauling and repair independently of reciprocating compressors (including valve servicing, cylinder liner replacement and pickling)
• Proven experience in the maintenance, overhauling and repair independently of gearbox
• Proven experience in the maintenance, overhauling and repair independently of lobed blowers
• Proven experience in the maintenance, repair and testing of single and double mechanical seal
• Proven experience in the maintenance and servicing of tube and shell exchangers
• Proven experience in the maintenance and servicing independently of plate heat exchanger
