We are looking for Commissioning Mechanical Superintendent (Rotating & Static Equipment) with strong technical expertise in mechanical systems. The candidate must have solid experience in commissioning activities for rotating and static equipment, including site inspections, installation, functional checks, and startup readiness. The role requires proven field experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to coordinate with construction, QA/QC, operations, and vendor teams during pre-commissioning and commissioning phases.

Job Summary & Key Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Commissioning Manager, He/She is responsible for the Pre-Commissioning & Commissioning of assigned Units, and the fulfilment within costs and time estimated.

He/She shall perform the work under the requirements of Environment, Safety and Health (HSE) and in accordance with the Quality Controls regulations required by the Client.

  • Draw up programs for PreCommissioning and Commissioning for the assigned units, reporting to the Commissioning Manager in advance to prepare for the delivery and mechanical termination of units;
  • Collaborate with the Commissioning Manager in the schedule preparation of units;
  • Identify systems that require special treatment, such as chemical cleaning, steam cleaning, and drying, and check the acceptance criteria defined by the Client;
  • Collaborate with the Commissioning Manager to prepare detailed instructions for Pre-Commissioning, Commissioning, and Start-Up for the assigned units;
  • Collaborate with the Commissioning Manager to apply Environment, Safety, and Health Rules and Regulations, defining special prevention measures to be taken;
  • Coordinate and control all PreCommissioning and Commissioning activities in the assigned units, supported by the Construction Supervision team;
  • Prepare periodic PreCommissioning and Commissioning reports with the Commissioning Manager;
  • Attend coordination meetings with Subcontractors and Vendors to address any matters related to the Pre-Commissioning and Commissioning of the units;
  • Support the Commissioning Manager during walkthroughs and follow up on Punch List items.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field;
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience as a Mechanical / Rotating Equipment Superintendent.
  • Proven experience in the construction of major oil and gas, refinery, petrochemical, or metals/minerals processing plant projects.
  • Strong knowledge of rotating equipment, including compressors, turbines, and pumps.
  • Familiarity with mechanical completion, pre-commissioning, and commissioning processes.
