The Four Seasons Resort and Residences at the Pearl-Qatar is looking for a Mechanic - HVAC Technician to join our talented pre-opening team! HVAC Technician, or a Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning Technician, installs and repairs various air quality systems. Their main duties include locating and diagnosing maintenance problems on equipment, conducting warranty services and quickly performing emergency repairs on certain equipment items.

Essential Functions

• Installing, maintaining and repairing ventilation and air conditioning systems and equipment.
• Identifying maintenance risks on equipment.
• Diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults for HVAC systems.
• Cleaning, adjusting and repairing systems, and performing warranty services.

Technicians must be knowledgeable to inspect, analyze, and troubleshoot the systems and equipment. They run tests and interpret the results to make effective recommendations to fix faulty or broken equipment.

An HVAC technician must be able to identify a problem and fix it. Whether dealing with an air conditioner that is not blowing cold air or a heater that makes a strange noise, an HVAC technician must identify what is broken and get it working again.

Respond to resident’s and guests calls regarding maintenance of and general share equipment in units and or public area in a timely manner.

Respond to all emergency conditions such as fires, power failures, etc.

Clean all stations in engineering areas, grease traps, plumbing stoppages and maintain an organized department and hotel.

Assist in the Installation or relocation of any additional equipment or existing equipment when necessary.

Assist with Energy Conservation Programs in the Building

Assist in sourcing contractors for the installation and repair of electrical and mechanical systems associated with the Residents and Building.

Ability to work all shifts and weekends, as needs may arise.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

Trade Certifications or Equivalent Experience

Experience required by position is from 2 to 4 years of employment in the related position with Four Seasons or other organizations.

General Knowledge of Building Systems and HVAC Mechanical

Requires a working technical knowledge of general building maintenance. Working knowledge is generally learned on-the-Job or through a series of professional certifications.

Requires knowledge of the ability to operate computer equipment.

Ability to read and speak and write English.
