Job summary

MILAHA is seeking a System Engineer - Vessels to join on-site in Qatar. The role covers design, deployment, and maintenance of IT systems including servers, networks, storage, and satellite communications in a maritime environment.

You will ensure security, performance, and reliability while coordinating with IT operations and vendors. Requirements include a bachelor’s degree and 4+ years in IT/system engineering, with hands-on experience in Windows, virtualization, networking, and VSAT.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of relevant IT/System Engineer experience, preferably maritime/offshore.
• Experience with Windows, cloud, virtualization, networking, and enterprise IT infra.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement IT systems including servers, networks, and storage to meet performance and security needs.
• Administer and maintain physical and virtual servers; manage networks and satellite comms (VSAT).
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot VSAT terminals and RF components; assess requirements for new deployments.
• Implement storage and backup solutions; ensure disaster recovery readiness.
• Provide software/infrastructure support and collaborate with developers for integration.
• Enforce security controls and regulatory compliance across IT systems.
• Monitor performance and optimize resources; maintain up-to-date documentation.
