Job summary

A leading engineering services provider in Doha is looking for a Marine Operations Superintendent to ensure the efficient operation of vessels. Responsibilities include compliance with maritime regulations, conducting audits, and managing cargo operations. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in the maritime industry, including time as Master on LNG/LPG carriers. This position offers a full-time opportunity on-site with an indefinite contract.

Qualifications

• 8 to 12 years’ experience including 3 years’ as Master on LNG/LPG or crude/oil carriers.
• Experience in head office management of a gas/oil shipping company preferred.
• Experience working with personnel from different cultures.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with international and legal maritime requirements.
• Manage safety audits and inspections for vessels.
• Supervise voyage planning and ensure performance compliance.

Skills

Knowledge of maritime statutory requirements

Training in emergency response procedures

Auditing skills

Computer literate - Microsoft Suite

Education

Degree in Nautical Science or related field

Master Mariner Certificate
