Job summary

A leading energy company in Doha is looking for a professional to manage vessels involved in oil spill operations and tender processes. The ideal candidate should have over 10 years of experience in oil and gas operations and hold a Class I Certificate of Competency. Responsibilities include preparing tender documents, managing contract requirements, and ensuring compliance with maritime regulations. This role requires in-depth knowledge of marine operations and documentation.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in oil and gas operations.
  • Updated knowledge of advanced navigational systems and maritime regulations.
  • Experience in marine operations such as tanker operations and offshore oil operations.

Responsibilities

  • Support managing vessels for UMV and Oil Spill Operations.
  • Assist in preparing tender documents for Marine Contracts.
  • Manage HSE requirements and contractor performance evaluations.

Skills

Job description
Overview

To provide support for managing vessels engaged in UMV and Oil Spill Operations, assist in Tendering process and contract management for Marine Supports Division.

Provide support in preparing Tender documents (that are under the responsibility of Marine Supports' division) for all upcoming Marine Contracts, Technical Clarifications and following up with other departments until award of contract.

Assist the division Head with Contract Management of all Marine contracted resources as required, including managing HSE Requirements, Contractor performance Evaluations and Documentation for close out of contracts.

Experience
  • Experience sufficient to acquire a Class I Certificate of Competence (minimum 10 years) together with experience in the oil and gas operations.
  • Experience in other marine operations is desirable. Examples of other desirable experience are : - Emergency Towing, SBM Maintenance, Tanker Operations, Pilotage, General cargo, Heavy Lift Vessels, Rig moving, Chartering, Offshore Oil Operations, Marine Inspection, Investigation, Marine Consultancy etc.
Qualifications
  • Unlimited Foreign Going Class I (Ship Masters) Certificate of Competency issued by or equivalent to United Kingdom Department of Transport.
  • Updated knowledge of Shipping Business and Maritime law, Advanced Navigational systems, International Chamber of Shipping and Oil Companies International Maritime Forum Recommendations and ISGOTT.
  • A sound in depth knowledge of various National and International Maritime Regulations and Legislations.
