The Opportunity:

We are seeking an experienced Asset Management Manager to join our Qatar asset management practice in the power and utilities sector. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in asset management, with a focus on implementing best practices and optimizing asset performance. This role requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record in managing complex asset portfolios and driving operational excellence.

About Supply Chain & Operations in EY:

They address complex issues and opportunities across the entire product lifecycle, from sourcing raw materials to final delivery to the customer, leveraging technology like AI, data analytics, and automation.

Role and Requirements:
  • Develop and implement asset management strategies aligned with organizational goals.
  • Oversee the implementation of ISO 55001 standards across asset management processes.
  • Lead Maximo implementation projects to enhance asset tracking and management capabilities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective asset lifecycle management.
  • Monitor and report on asset performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Manage a team of asset management professionals, providing guidance and support.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to drive continuous improvement.
  • Lead and drive business development work across the region

To do this role effectively, we are looking for people with knowledge and experience in the following areas:

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in asset management, specifically within the power and utilities sector.
  • Implementing ISO 55001 projects in the power and utilities sector.
  • Certification in Asset Management (e.g., ISO 55001 Lead Auditor).
  • Hands‑on experience with Maximo or similar asset management software.
  • Previous experience in a consulting role within a Big 4 firm.
You’ll also have to:
  • Be based in Qatar.
  • Demonstrate strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Exhibit excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Show a commitment to continuous learning and professional development in asset management practices.
