Job summary

A logistics solutions provider in Qatar is seeking a Logistics Officer to oversee the logistics section of the supply chain. This role involves managing incoming and outgoing freight, analyzing logistics data for operational efficiency, and collaborating with finance teams. The ideal candidate will possess strong skills in shipping & receiving, data analysis, and inventory control. This position is a full-time outsource contract for 18 months.

Qualifications

  • Experience in shipping and receiving logistics.
  • Proficient with data analysis and reporting.
  • Ability to develop and maintain KPIs for logistics performance.

Responsibilities

  • Collect and analyze shipment freight data to identify cost-saving opportunities.

Contract Duration: 18 months

Job Description

The Logistics Officer is responsible to effectively support and understand the logistics section of supply chain in relation to freight movement in its various modes of transport. This will include incoming freight movements and outgoing freight movements of high value assets such as engines and landing gears. To analyze interpret and report logistics and financial data to support operational efficiency cost control and management KPI reporting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect clean and analyze shipment freight and AOG shipment data to identify trends variances and cost saving opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and KPIs for logistics spends logistics performance.
  • Invoice verification and maintaining a tracker for all approved and unapproved invoices.
  • Consolidate financial data related to transportation duties handling charges cargo charges for monthly reporting.
  • Collaborate with finance and logistics team to ensure data accuracy and reporting.
  • Manages and maintains the companys shipment records.
  • Reports issues and selects the most appropriate solution to avoid delays.
  • Ensuring professional and timely communication with the parties involved.
  • Perform other department duties related to his / her position as directed by the Head of the Department

Other operational duties would include : As requested by the line manager when required.
