Job summary

KBC Technologies is seeking an experienced Linux Administrator – L3 for a full-time on-site role in Qatar. You will install, configure, upgrade, and maintain enterprise Linux servers (RHEL, Rocky Linux, CentOS, Ubuntu, Oracle Linux) and lead L3 incident resolution to ensure high availability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Systems Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• 5–8 years of progressive enterprise Linux administration and infrastructure experience.

• Deep practical proficiency in L3 troubleshooting, log analysis (journalctl, dmesg), and RCA methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain enterprise Linux servers across RHEL, Rocky Linux, CentOS, Ubuntu, and Oracle Linux distributions.
• Manage system services, kernel upgrades, patch management, security updates, package repositories (YUM/DNF, APT), and systemd services.
• Handle complex L3 production incidents, perform root cause analysis (RCA), and provide technical recovery plans for recurring system failures.
• Troubleshoot kernel panics, boot failures, filesystem corruption, high CPU utilization, memory leaks, and disk I/O bottlenecks.
• Monitor CPU, memory, disk, and network resource utilization using Zabbix, Nagios, Prometheus, Grafana, or enterprise monitoring suites.

Detailed Job Description

Your day-to-day responsibilities include managing system services, user permissions, kernel upgrades, and patch management across RHEL, Rocky Linux, CentOS, Ubuntu, and Oracle Linux, resolving complex production incidents escalated by L1 and L2 support teams, troubleshooting kernel panics, boot failures, high CPU utilization, memory leaks, and disk I/O bottlenecks, monitoring resource utilization via Zabbix, Nagios, or Prometheus/Grafana, managing partitions, LVM, XFS/ext4 filesystems, and SAN/NAS integration, configuring high-availability clusters using Pacemaker and Corosync, implementing security hardening based on CIS benchmarks, and integrating with LDAP or Active Directory. You will utilize your proactive troubleshooting and analytical problem‑solving skills to resolve complex infrastructure anomalies under strict enterprise service level agreements.
