Job summary

Qatar Airways in Doha is recruiting a Licensed Aircraft Engineer (B2) for Line Maintenance – Technical Engineering. You will deliver aircraft maintenance activities to support flight operations and release work under QR procedures, ensuring safety and reliability.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree with 4+ years related experience or Higher.
• Must hold minimum 1 full QR main fleet ICAO/QCAA license.

About the role:

We are currently recruiting for Licensed Aircraft Engineers (B2) under Line Maintenance – Technical Engineering in Doha. As Licensed Aircraft Engineer (B2), you will be responsible to deliver aircraft maintenance activities to directly support flight operations maintenance checks and duties within your authority. You will provide specialized knowledge skills and expertise and ensuring safe, effective and efficient operation. Specific responsibilities within the role includes:

Operational Plan assigned activities in an effective and efficient manner, operate equipment or use tooling relative to assigned tasks within framework of Qatar Airways and Customer procedures. Review of work procedures and standards, propose improvements were procedures are not appropriate to ensure work processes are effective. Responsible for the final release of work accomplished. Ensure tasks are performed to meet company/ customer standards and target such as dispatch reliability and level of acceptable deferred defects. Ensure delivery standard of QR/customer products are met. Aircraft maintenance tasks are accomplished in accordance with laid down policies and procedures. Provide satisfactory support to internal and external customers. Implement solutions to technical problems within his/her range of authority. Aircraft or components serviceability standards are maintained to meet schedule requirements. Management & Leadership:Supervise a team of mechanics or technical assistants, ascertaining task are efficiently performed and comply with procedures and meet task objectives. Provide guidance and or on the job training to the Technicians and Aircraft Mechanics reporting to this position. Establish the teams objectives and priorities to align with and support business objectives. Regularly evaluate the teams’ objectives, plans , and procedures and revise when needed. Ensuring staff under his immediate controls adhere to published technical and safety requirements defined in publishing manuals,Customer procedures and other publications. Defining priorities to the staff allocated to him to ensure that efficient use of resources is channeled to perform the tasks allocated and meet schedules and planned check activities. When supervising the work of others, ensuring that acceptable standard of workmanship and quality are maintained and the correct tools are employed to accomplish the task.

Qualifications About You:

High School Qualification / Vocational Qualification /Diploma or Equivalent (Type of Diploma Based on Role) with Minimum 5 years of job-related experience OR Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent with Minimum 4 years of job-related experience Essential Diploma in Aircraft Maintenance or vocation aircraft maintenance qualification or Degree (B. Eng., BSc) or equivalent in aircraft engineering Must hold minimum 1 full QR main fleet ICAO/QCAA license and approvals. Determining the kind of tools and equipment needed to do a job. Using mathematics to solve problems. Controlling operations of equipment or systems. Managerial skills - Ability to delegate work, set clear direction and manage workflow. Strong mentoring and coaching skills. Ability to train and develop subordinate's skills. Ability to foster teamwork among team members.
