Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field preferred but not required.
• Fluency in English preferred but not required.
• Indian nationality preferred but not required.
• Previous experience in library or customer service setting is a plus but not required.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Good communication skills.
• Flexibility to work evening or weekend shifts as needed.
• Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assist with shelving, organizing, and cataloging library materials
• Check materials in and out using the library's circulation system
• Answer basic reference questions and assist patrons with locating materials
• Maintain a clean and organized library space
• Assist with planning and implementing library programs and events
• Provide excellent customer service to all library patrons
• Help enforce library policies and procedures
• Keep accurate records of circulation statistics
• Other duties as assigned by the Librarian
