Senior Process Engineer - Projects

Location: Qatar

Department: Projects Management / Engineering Support

Reporting To: Head of Projects Engineering Support

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Process Engineer to support project execution in large-scale oil and gas projects. The role involves facilitating process engineering activities, coordinating technical interfaces, and ensuring that all engineering deliverables meet standards, schedules, and project objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support process engineering activities and contribute to departmental strategy and goals.
  • Coordinate technical activities with project owners, contractors, vendors, consultants, and other stakeholders.
  • Review complex tasks and provide recommendations to management on technical issues.
  • Update and maintain project-related policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Support engineering teams of external organisations to ensure design alignment with project objectives.
  • Maintain and optimise engineering systems, tools, and software for efficient project execution.
  • Ensure compliance with company project management systems and standards.
  • Participate in procurement and contracting activities, ensuring technical requirements are met throughout pre-qualification, bidding, execution, and close-out phases.
  • Monitor and provide guidance to FEED, EPC contractors, and third-party services across all project phases.
  • Ensure projects are executed on schedule, within budget, and to required technical and quality standards.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related discipline.
  • Minimum 8 years' experience in the oil and gas industry, including at least 3 years in a project management role.
  • Familiarity with international and national engineering standards and project specifications.
  • Strong technical and business skills, including computer literacy and proficiency in engineering software tools.
  • Excellent written and spoken English.
